Catalog description

Security+ Certification Prep offers intermediate and advanced instruction in computer security. This class helps prepare students for the industry- endorsed Security+ certification exam offered by the Computer Technology Industry Association (CompTIA). The exam covers a range of topics, including communication security, infrastructure security, cryptography, access control,authentication, external attacks and the operational security of an organization. This course may be repeated twice for a maximum of 9 credit hours. (1.2-Articulated) NOTE: This course contains material that is especially challenging and extremely technical. Upon successful completion of the course, students should be prepared to take the exam necessary for Security+ Certification.
