Catalog description
Estate Planning and Probate Law introduces students to the legal principles and practical processes involved in estate planning and probate administration. Topics include wills, trusts, powers of attorney, guardianships, and estate taxation. Students will learn how legal professionals assist attorneys in drafting estate planning documents, organizing client information, and preparing probate filings. Emphasis is placed on ethical responsibilities, effective client communication, and the use of legal technology to manage forms, deadlines, and court submissions. NOTE: This course requires advanced reading, advanced writing and basic math.
