Catalog description
Introduction to Floral Design is an engaging course that introduces students to the fundamental design principles, elements, and techniques of creating beautiful floral arrangements. Through hands-on demonstrations, practical exercises, and creative projects, students will learn about color, proportion, balance, and focal points, as well as the proper use of tools and materials. They will also gain proficiency in the handling, processing, and care of cut flowers and foliage. This course provides a solid foundation for those interested in pursuing careers in floral design, event planning, or simply enhancing their creative skills with the beauty of flowers. Note: This course requires intermediate reading, intermediate writing, and basic math.
