Catalog description

ICD Coding introduces students to the theory, structure and organization of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) coding system. Students learn to apply coding principles to accurately assign ICD codes to health records. The role of ICD codes in billing and reimbursement is also covered. Students may repeat this course once for a maximum of 6 credit hours. (1.2-Articulated)
