Early Childhood Language Arts focuses on normal language development and communication skills of children birth to 8 years old. Students study social and environmental influences on the development of language and literacy, and create a file of age-appropriate activities designed to promote language development in young children. The course includes observation and participation in an early childhood setting. SCANS skills included. (1.2-Articulated)
