Catalog description
Abstracting methods teaches students the general principles of abstracting through the study of medical records and their components. Students will learn to identify the information that will be included in a cancer abstract and apply coding instructions. At the competition of this course, students will be able to perform a complete abstract for major disease sites. NOTE: Students may enroll in CRM 275 and CRM 285 at the same time.
