Catalog description

Ceramics Hand-Building introduces students to non-functional and functional ceramics through hand-building processes. The course will explore innovative and contemporary ways to develop form in contemporary ceramics. Mold-making and mosaic tile projects will introduce additional ways to experiment with design and surfaces.  Students will create work with an emphasis on design, concept, surface, and firing techniques. (1.1 Articulated) NOTE: Students may repeat this course twice for a maximum of 9 credit hours. This course requires basic reading, writing, and math skills.
