Catalog description

Presents topics to assist the student in the transition to a physical therapist assistant, including trends, specialized practice, patient services, and the employment process. Provides instruction about contemporary practice issues, physical therapy billing and reimbursement in multiple settings, and professional roles and responsibilities. Includes assignments that integrate physical therapy theory and practice. Lecture: 2 credits (30 contact hours).
