Catalog description

Capstone 2 is the culminating course in the Doctor of Social Work program, focused on the critical evaluation, refinement, and dissemination of students’ applied research projects. Building on previous coursework and implementation efforts, students will evaluate the outcomes of their intervention strategies, identify areas for improvement, integrate stakeholder feedback, and empirical evidence to enhance project impact. Emphasis is placed on scholarly communication, leadership, and knowledge translation. Students will develop and execute a dissemination plan tailored to diverse audiences—practitioners, policymakers, and scholars—and complete a final presentation and oral defense that demonstrates mastery of doctoral-level knowledge, skills, and leadership in social work.
