Catalog description

This course is the first in a two-part Capstone series, supporting doctoral students through the implementation phase of their applied practice research projects. Building on approved proposals from SOWK 752 , students will apply advanced research methodologies in real-world social work contexts to address complex social issues. Emphasizing trauma-informed, equity-centered, and ethical practice, students will collect and analyze data, navigate implementation, challenges, and refine projects for maximum impact. Through faculty mentorship and peer collaboration, students will stregthen their practitioner-scholar identity, demonstrate leadership, and engage in reflective problem-solving grounded in evidence and theory.
