Advanced Social Work Practicum Seminar I is the first part of two fieldwork courses that allows student practitioners the opportunity to build upon, apply, and integrate advanced classroom training and evidence-based interventions within a practice setting. MSW students gather direct practice experience working with diverse populations, and increase opportunities, resources, and capacity for local agencies that provide direct services to vulnerable families and communities. Students in this first advanced course will be required to meet the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) 2022 EPAS Competencies 6, Engage with Individuals, Families, Groups, Organizations, and Communities and 7, Assess Individuals, Families, Groups, Organizations, and Communities. Advanced practicum courses are to be taken consecutively. Graded pass/no-pass. This is a 16-week course.
