Catalog description
In this course, students will examine the causes and effects of child maltreatment and use this information to understand and develop effective prevention, intervention, and evaluation strategies. Information in this course will include assessment, intervention, and prevention strategies that can be used by social workers in a variety of settings to intervene, treat, and prevent child abuse and neglect. Implications for public policy and the development, provision, funding, and implementation of social programs and services will be presented.
