Social Work Case Management

Catalog description
This course introduces students to the knowledge and skills needed for effective generalist case management practice. Students will explore case management with a variety of populations, including children and families, veterans, older adults, and homeless. They will address case management across multiple service delivery settings, such as mental health, substance abuse, corrections, and vocational rehabilitation. Students will consider the roles and responsibilities of case managers through case studies, interviews with case managers, and reviews of current research. Students will apply the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Case Management Standards in case studies and in their own professional growth and development.
