Advanced Individual Therapy II

Catalog description

This course is a continuation of Advanced Individual Therapy I. In this course students will continue to hone skills in individual counseling and will learn techniques from evidence-based/empirically supported individual therapies. Covered therapies may include but are not limited to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Other therapies may also be covered at the instructor’s discretion. Students will also learn to determine which techniques/therapies to employ based on clinical judgment and client characteristics and problems/diagnoses.
