Catalog description

This course serves as an introduction to the principles and procedures involved in psychological measurement. Emphasis will be placed on concepts of test construction, standardization, validity, and reliability as applied to a wide range of psychological instruments of intelligence, interests, values, and personality. In addition to discussion of theoretical concepts, students will learn about the history of psychological testing and how theories, principles and concepts are both used in psychometric assessment and applied in educational, clinical and employment settings.
