This course gives students an overview of the healthcare system from an economic perspective. Students learn the basic health economic principles and techniques that managers need to strengthen their decision-making at work. Students will understand the dynamic between patients, healthcare organizations, insurance companies and the government, their influence on healthcare expenditures, and what makes health and its market in the US unique from other industries.
