Catalog description

This course provides an overview of legal, regulatory, and ethical issues in healthcare. Topics include patients’ rights, privacy, confidentiality, torts, contract law, corporate liability, medical malpractice, antitrust, fraud and abuse, and ethics in healthcare delivery. Students learn to apply legal and ethical considerations in decision-making as a healthcare administrator by analyzing and resolving real-life situations and theoretical scenarios.
