Foundations of Healthcare Administration

Catalog description

In this course, students will examine different healthcare system models with emphasis on the U.S. health care delivery system in the following areas: population health, trends in health services access and utilization, structure, financing, system resources, and organization and delivery of services. Students will explore, discuss and analyze current and emerging issues such as increased competition, increased costs, the role of the public and private sector in healthcare administration, and healthcare reform initiatives.
