Catalog description

This course introduces students to the organization, structure, and components of health services delivery systems in the United States. It fosters a multidimensional understanding of how the healthcare system functions, how it has evolved, and how it compares to other countries. Students will examine population health issues in a particular state, and examine the use of location intelligence and geospatial data in healthcare. Trends and challenges associated with the healthcare system are explored and discussed in an engaging forum.
