Catalog description

This course offers a base upon which the individual will create an understanding of both the art and the science of teaching adult learners by providing basic background information on prominent learning theories and how they relate specifically to adult development and learning. A major emphasis of the class will be an exploration of scholarly works, contemporary theories, assessment and validity issues, appropriate activities, essential tools, and a multitude of resources all focused toward enabling a teacher of adult students to be a successful educational practitioner.
