Team and Group Dynamics

Catalog description

This course explores the characteristics of effective teams, special considerations for virtual teams, the stages of group development and team processes such as motivation, group cohesion, role assignment, and norms. The importance of the task and relationship continuum and the role of conflict will be examined. Students will analyze team behaviors and evaluate team effectiveness based on these concepts. Students will apply the principles of group development and team building as they begin to build the leadership team for their Transformational Change Project.
