Catalog description

This course is designed to sensitize students to diversity issues in criminal justice. Students will analyze gender, race/ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, religion, and social class issues as well as theoretical perspectives on diversity and crime. They will also explore the influence of diversity on the relationship between criminal justice professionals and citizens, victims, suspects, and co-workers.
