Examines the systems of government of countries in Africa south of the Sahara — including but not limited to the DR Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, and Uganda — and their relations with each other and with major countries outside the region. Prerequisite: Graduate standing.
