Catalog description

This second course in physics extends the application of force and energy laws to collective systems. Topics include electrostatics, electronics, optics, mechanics, the thermal properties of matter, kinetic theory, and atomic structure. Prerequisite: PHYS 271 or equivalent. Liberal Arts Core Designation: Natural Science (NS), Depth in Sciences (DSCI).
