Catalog description

Introduces students to the concept of evidence-based practice and its relationship to improved patient outcomes. It prepares students to critically examine current nursing practice standards and guidelines to determine if these are consistent with the best research available. Strategies to overcome barriers to the integration of new knowledge in the practice setting are identified.
