Catalog description
In this course students will learn how to create and evaluate a privacy management program that has measurable outcomes which protect privacy of relevant constituencies. Students will be able to distinguish between data privacy and data security procedures and learn how to apply these concepts in building a successful privacy program. Students will discuss how the privacy programs must align with national and global laws. The course will review contemporary privacy frameworks and identify how these frameworks are integral to creating a privacy program. Students must achieve a minimum grade of B-.
