Catalog description

In this course students will learn to collect and act on various sensor types using artificial intelligence techniques including the data at a central location. Sensor networks may comprise light, sound, acceleration, and proximity sensors as well as GPS. Additionally. students will use techniques in Computer Vision to process image data as part of an AI sensor network. Sensor data will be implemented into applications such as IoT devices and advanced robots. Students will examine societal implementations of these applications such as in smart cities, home automation, smart health and environmental monitoring. Prerequisites: IT 250 and IT 208 with a grade of C or higher.
