Data in the Cloud

Catalog description

This course focuses on enterprise data storage and management technologies on-premise and in the cloud. It covers the different types of storage systems; storage networking technologies; and concepts related to availability, business continuity, data security, and storage. It includes available database techniques (SQL and NoSQL) and techniques to manage large datasets (for example, Hadoop). Students must achieve a minimum grade of C. Prerequisite: IT 321 with a grade of C or higher.
