An investigation of the political, social, and cultural revolutions that shook Europe during the 19th century and contributed to the development of modernity. Topics explored include industrialization, consumer culture, imperialism, and ideology. Prerequisite: HI 103 or HI 104. Liberal Arts Core Designation: History (HI), Depth in Humanities (DHUM).
