Topics in Rhetoric and Revision: Academic and Public Writing

Catalog description

A writing workshop and theory class that explores the genre and style conventions of multiple discourses. The class will focus on genre theory, rhetorical analysis, and writing practice, as students master multiple discourses. Special emphasis will be paid to sentence-level stylistic conventions and to the student’s own writing style. Specific topics will rotate, and the course may be taken more than once provided the student selects different topics.
