Catalog description

This is a topics course that will provide an in-depth study of a specific literary movement or theme after 1800. The course may examine works from several genres within a given literary movement or time period, study a specific work or works within their critical and historical contexts, or delve into a focused topic relative to its cultural moment or style. Specific topics will rotate, and the course may be taken more than once provided the student selects different literary topics.
