Catalog description

The course develops an understanding of the principles, processes, and techniques used in social science research. This course provides the skills necessary to design and conduct systematic studies using quantitative and/or qualitative research methods. In addition, this class provides students the foundational knowledge and skills to critically critique and apply research. Students will further develop individual applied research by continuing to review the literature, articulating a theoretical framework, and continuing the quest to clearly focus the purpose of their study. Students will compete CITI training and IRB applications. Prerequisite: ED 703.
