Catalog description

Methods for teaching elementary mathematics will be demonstrated with an emphasis on the use of technology as an instructional tool. Students will study techniques for designing and implementing mathematics lessons that develop knowledge and skills in mathematical concepts, computations, reasoning, and problem solving. Mathematics curricula and strategies for evaluating student performance will be addressed while identifying errors and misconceptions. Field experience: 10 hours. Prerequisites: ED 500SL and ED 509.
