Catalog description

Designed to provide students with a broad overview of the rationale for career and transition programming critical to the development of children and youth with disabilities. The course also presents the various program options that are currently available. The knowledge and understanding of the importance of counseling, working with families of students with disabilities, and the availability of community resources to assist both parents and children with disabilities will be discussed. Prerequisites: ED 500SL and ED 509.
