Advanced Assessment of Social and Personality Functioning

Catalog description

This course is designed to provide counselors with a working knowledge of assessment principles and instruments used in schools and clinical mental health counseling. An "informed consumer" must have the knowledge of how to choose, use, read, and interpret psychological tests. Therefore, this course will emphasize the "science" of appraisal, focusing on the process of test selection, administration, and scoring. Prerequisite: admission to the counselor education and supervision program.
