Catalog description

Provides an overview of the assessment, treatment, and ethical issues unique to counseling children and adolescents in mental health or educational settings. It provides students with relevant information about child and adolescent development and strategies for dealing with at-risk populations. Also explores the techniques used to understand and evaluate child and adolescent behavior. Offered summer semester only. Prerequisites: CE 522C or CE 522S, and CE 529.
