Catalog description

Examines the relationship between normal psychosocial development and the development of various exceptionalities, including sensory handicaps, mental deviations, communication disorders, behavior disorders, learning disabilities, health impairments, and the gifted/talented special education process in the school setting. Emphasis is placed on etiology, diagnosis, and intervention techniques as well as the counselor's role in working with client exceptionalities.
