Examines contemporary views of behavior in a sociocultural and historical perspective, enabling the student to acquire a holistic overview of the counseling field. Addresses professional, legal, and ethical issues in clinical mental health counseling. Must be completed prior to or concurrent with any clinical and professional skills courses. A minimum grade of B is required to advance in the program.
