Catalog description

An in-depth study of the human blood groups whose antigens are carbohydrate-based to include the ABO and P blood group systems and Lewis system. Discusses history, genetics and biochemistry of the carbohydrate-based antigens. Explores their relationship to transfusion therapy and disease epidemiology. Reviews principles of hemagglutination and complement system.
