Catalog description
Examines the history of Judaism and its communal structures from antiquity to the present day. Studies how the Jewish people developed their characteristic religious and ethnic sensibilities in view of their self-perceptions and the perceptions of others. Students learn to appreciate and relate to Judaism and to Jews in their diverse contemporary expressions of identity in the realms of faith, culture and politics.
