Catalog description

A survey of physical and functional rehabilitation from the perspectives of speech-language pathology, audiology, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. Physical and functional rehabilitation focuses on restoring, habilitating, compensating, or slowing the deterioration of individual abilities in communication, movement, sensation, cognition, and functional independence. The nature of and basic features of professional practice (e.g. introductory medical terminology, professional communication, reimbursement, and interdisciplinary collaboration) are introduced.
