An in-depth consideration of sociological perspectives and concepts and how they may be used to analyze contemporary society and social relationships. Basic sociological theories, methods, and concepts are discussed and used to evaluate contemporary sociological concerns and issues. Supervised and individualized research-writing projects involving a sociological area of each student's choice.
