Catalog description

Students read empirical research studies for the purposes of interpretation and evaluation. Students learn how to write research questions and hypotheses. Methods of estimating and interpreting validity and reliability are studied as well as common research methods and designs for quantitative and qualitative social science studies. The culminating assignment includes constructing a research proposal ready to submit to the Office of Research Compliance (ORC).
