Introduces the institutions and politics that shape urban public policy. Explores who is involved and influential in urban policy, the power relations in metropolitan America, and how governing coalitions shape and create social change within cities. Examines urban public policy challenges, including racial and income inequalities, housing, education, transportation, law enforcement, economic development and environmental justice. Consent required.
