Introduction to public policy analysis techniques, including problem definition, identification of policy alternatives, application of multiple evaluative criteria, projection of policy outcomes, and analytic reasoning about tradeoffs in policy design. Considers the role of policy analysis in the political process, the role of the policy professional, and ethical issues in policymaking.
