Explores U.S. housing policy and the politics that informs it. Covers history and evolution of U.S. housing policy, its role in creating and maintaining racial, ethnic, and class inequities, and the roots of the contemporary housing crisis. Specific topics include the basics of housing finance, zoning/land use policy, and housing development as well as topical issues such as homelessness, housing unaffordability, gentrification, and fair housing.
