Catalog description

Explores the pathology and pathophysiology of disease from the cellular level to whole-body systems, with an emphasis on clinical relevance for physical therapy practice. Students examine mechanisms of cellular injury, inflammation, trauma, and disease processes affecting cardiovascular, pulmonary, renal, hepatic, endocrine, immune, musculoskeletal, and other systems. The impact of normal aging, pharmacological interventions, and medical treatments are integrated to highlight implications for patient care.
