Catalog description

Lecture and laboratory simulating patient/client interactions to apply didactic course work to clinical practice. Expands on foundational patient management and professional skills with emphasis on acute care mobility, documentation, basic billing and coding, legal and ethical responsibilities, and interprofessional collaboration. Develops competence in managing patients with medical lines, stair negotiation, and discharge planning. Reinforces clinical reasoning, communication, and safe practice through applied labs, simulated cases, and interprofessional learning with occupational therapy. Patient management sequence progression requires successful completion of all Pro-1 course work.
