Catalog description

Examines ancient Greek and Roman philosophy, from the pre-Socratic philosophers through the Hellenistic schools, with an emphasis on Plato and Aristotle. Other philosophers studied may include: Heraclitus, Parmenides, Pythagoras, Plotinus, Epicurus, Seneca and Sextus Empiricus. Explores such topics as the soul, immorality, knowledge, eros, and fate and freedom.
