Catalog description

Organizes and manages the planning and implementation of the doctoral capstone project and experience over the course of two terms. The first term involves continued project capstone development and planning in conjunction with concurrent course, Doctoral Capstone Project Development 2. Requires collaboration with faculty mentor and peers for review of research/scholarship during the capstone process. Students take responsibility for organizing components of capstone planning and self-assessment and reflect upon feedback to refine their plan. In the second term, the focus is on the completion of the doctoral project, including data collection and analysis of data. Culminates in the dissemination of findings from research/scholarly work in a forum of peers, faculty and stakeholders. Preparatory components of the capstone project, as defined by ACOTE, must be completed prior to the second offering of the course and Doctoral Capstone Experience in the final term of the program. Culminates in dissemination of doctoral capstone project. S/U grade assessment.
